Hagan & Associates was founded in 1993 with a simple goal: to provide exceptional, prompt, and comprehensive service to our clients in the handling of insurance claims. No loss is too big or too small for our handling, and each claim requires a consistent approach. While our primary focus is Property Claims (both Commercial and Residential), we also consistently assist our partners with Liability and Inland Marine/Marine Claims.
The adjuster responding to loss is a direct extension and reflection of a policyholder’s insurance carrier. We’ve built our reputation on handling claims with professionalism and honesty; ensuring the trust of both our carrier partners and their policyholders.

Our efficient process creates a seamless client experience.
Our process centers around timely communication with our partner carriers and their policyholders.
Upon receipt of a new assignment, our office makes immediate contact with the Policyholder to review loss and schedule a prompt inspection.
Reserves are forwarded to the carrier, along with any pertinent information immediately following our preliminary inspection; recommendations for the use of outside experters (engineers, builders, salvors, accountants, forensic experts).
Our staff is experienced in assisting with all aspects of a claim, including but not limited to written building estimates, and full contents inventories. Throughout the claims process, we maintain and provide a detailed Statement of Loss to our partners.
Losses are billed on a time and expense basis. Agreed priced fee schedules can be arranged at our partner’s request.
All building estimates are written with the latest version of Xactimate.

Michael K. Hagan Sr.
Michael entered the adjusting world in 1977 with the oldest independent adjusting firm in the U.S. He is experience in the handling of Property, Inland Marine, Marine, and Liability claims. After becoming a senior partner at W.E. Miller and Son, Michael founded Hagan and Associates with his brother Paul in 1993. He takes great joy in working alongside his brother and son.
Michael specializes in the handling of complex commercial and residential property claims. He has forged lasting working relationships with many clients over his career and believes that being in a position to help people at their time of need is the most rewarding facet of the job. Michael is often called as an expert witness to testify in complicated cases and works closely with many non-profit organizations. He is trained as an expert building damage estimator and has attended numerous insurance related classes and seminars.
Michael enjoys many diversified sports and creative endeavors but his greatest role is father of 3, and “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren.
Paul C. Hagan
Paul has been an experienced General Adjuster for the past 36 years. He graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was a member of the varsity lacrosse team. Paul began working at W.E. Miller & Son in 1988, before partnering with his brother Mike to establish Hagan & Associates. Paul has attended numerous courses and seminars pertaining to Fire and Allied Lines. Paul’s attention to detail, communication, and vast experience contribute to consistent claim resolutions and closings.
Paul is a proud husband and father of two, and an avid tennis player.
Michael K. Hagan Jr.
Mike attended his first inspection when he was barely old enough to walk. He was attracted to the business watching his dad Mike and Uncle Paul in their handling of claims – specifically, how they were able to assist property owners during their time of need. Mike developed a thorough understanding of construction through his education and jobs over the years, and assisted in supporting the business in various capacities before joining H&A full time in 2017. Mike constantly applies himself to continuous education in the industry in an effort to best support our partners.
Between handling claims and playing husband and dad to three beloved daughters, Mike’s personal interests and hobbies are on hold until further notice.
